Mr. Kitandwe is a Commissioner Cooperatives/ Registrar Cooperative Development at the Ministry of Trade, Industries and Cooperatives. In his earlier career, he worked as Principal Tourism Officer (Tourism Development), Co-operative Officer/Savings and Credit in the then Ministry of Cooperatives and Marketing and served as District Co-operative Officer of many Districts before moving to the now, Ministry of Trade, Industries and Cooperatives. 

He holds a B.A. (Hons) Degree in Economics and Rural Economy of Makerere University. Postgraduate Diploma in International Trade, Diploma in Trade Policy, Diploma in Tourism Destination Management, Diploma in GTAT Tourism Policy and Strategy. He also holds a Master in Tourism Planning and Management and Master of Management Cooperatives and Credit Unions.
